30 Day Movie Challenge-Day 16 and 17
Day 16 - The last movie you saw in theaters
Brave. The last movie I saw in theaters was Brave, which I’m really happy to get to post about. I thought it was really good. (It didn’t effect me like the way I felt after seeing Up in theaters for the first time, for example.) I enjoyed seeing Disney create a character that goes outside typical gender norms and challenges societal views. It was definitely refreshing. And I really enjoy people talking in Irish accents.
Day 17 - The best movie you saw during the last year
Life is Beautiful. I’ve posted about this movie before. My magnificent PreCalc teacher and I became really good friends in the last year and got down to comparing favorite movies, and he told me to rent this one. He didn’t tell me the extent of tissues I’d need, but he was thoroughly punished for leaving out that detail. (Meaning a 5 minute friend timeout one day..) This movie is so good. I’ve always had a thing for foreign films, but this one just blew all others out of the park. The direction, the screenplay, the cinematography, the PERFORMANCES, I can rant about it’s perfection for an infinite amount of time.
